Welcome
Pure 100% Organic Aloe Vera
(Aloe Barbedensis Miller)
Plant Ecology
One thing most growers don't worry about is the reproduction of Aloe Vera plants.
Aloe Vera is a continuous crop and propagates very rapidly. While seeds from the Aloe Vera
flower are responsible for some propagation, most new plants grow off the root of a "mother plant".
Within eight to nine months the Aloe Vera "pups" are nearly as large as the "mother" and are
replanted in open fields. Most farmers wait to harvest Aloe Vera plants until they are at least
fourteen to eighteen months old because mature plants have a 60% yield based on the weight of the gel,
where as immature plants have only a 30% yield.
The Aloe Vera leaves are generally ready for processing when they weigh one and a half pounds or
more, measure about twenty four inches long and four to six inches across at the bottom of the leaf,
and are from one to one and a half inches thick. They are cut off near the base of the plant at a point
that is high enough to keep the immature leaves intact. Typically, only two or three leaves are removed
at a time, leaving eight to twelve remaining on the plant.
Skin Care
Aloe Vera is beneficial to the skin in many ways. It....
- acts as a deep moisturiser.
- increases collagen and reduces pigment formation.
- feeds the skin with a wide range of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.
- stimulates new cell production due to the presence of amino acids, which are the basis for
healthy cell formation providing 20 of the 22 the body needs for growth.
- reduces and eliminates brown/age spots and other blemishes.
- boosts the skin's immune system and helps protect against ultra violet rays.
- has almost the same PH factor of the skin and so is gentle whilst effective.
- simultaneously cleanses, removes bacteria and nourishes.
- tightens the skin, reducing large pores and strengthening the skin's natural defense system.
- penetrates deeply and can be used to transport other nutrients to the skin's inner layers.
- promotes bloods circulation, restoring healthy colour to the skin.
- eliminates dead cells, allowing pores to breathe and promotes the formation of new tissue.
This action can reduce or eliminate scars, wrinkles and blemishes.
- helps greasy skin by absorbing excess oil. It is therefore helpful in the treatment of acne.
For normal or dry skin it should be combined with a good moisturising agent.
- has natural anti-allergenic properties and is suited to use on sensitive skin.
- acts as a fungicidal, virucidal and bactericidal, helping with a wide range of skin problems
such as cold sores and athletes foot.
"From a purely personal perspective, after just 12 weeks of first using the Aloelixir Gel I noticed an improvement in
fine lines around the eyes, and also a vast improvement in the reduction of cellulite (on legs and buttocks)".
Wound Healing Agent
Very effective for burns, cuts, wounds, boils, abscesses, cold sores, skin ulcers, etc.....
Aloe Vera cools and soothes the skin whilst draining out any impurities and speeds up the skin's
natural healing process.
Allergies and Itching
For around 99% of the population Aloe Vera acts as an anti-allergenic. It relieves pain and stops
itching. It can enable the body to deal with harmful substances and therefore can be useful when
there are negative allergic reactions to such substances.
Hair and Scalp
Aloe Vera benefits the hair and scalp in much the same way as it does the skin. The deep penetrating
action aids deep cleansing and allows nutrients to penetrate the scalp, acting as an anti-infection agent.
Due to it's anti-pruritic properties it soothes scalp itching and the enzymes in Aloe Vera
cast off dead cells allowing new tissue to grow, this combats dandruff and seborrhea
infections, resulting in the growth of healthy shining hair.
Teeth and Gums
Aloe Vera is very helpful in the treatment of tooth and gum disorders, as it reduces inflammation
and alleviates pain. It also promotes the healing of mouth sores, injuries and wounds caused by surgery.
It can also be used under dentures or around permanent crowns.
Anti-inflammatory properties
Aloe Vera's anti-inflammatory action has been well researched and is accepted as one of it's most
fundamental healing actions. There are two processes involved in this action:
- Reduction of inflammation and pain alleviation.
- Healing of injury.
Aloe Vera is one of the few known natural substances which performs the two processes simultaneously,
both externally and internally where inflammation is a symptom.
It can be used in providing pain relief and aiding joint flexibility in arthritis.
As a juice it has been helpful in treating a number of complaints like; irritable bowel syndrome,
indigestion colitis, peptic ulcers and excessive stomach acid.
Immune System
Aloe Vera consists of a wide range of vitamins, minerals and over 200 other properties, and is one of
the best natural immuno-stimulants available today.
